Vikram Bhatt: RAAZ 3 about fame, jealousy and politics of Bollywood
Exactly a decade after RAAZ [2002], Vikram Bhatt, Bipasha Basu, Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt would be returning with third in the series RAAZ 3. Though it was Mohit Suri who had directed RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES in the interim with Kangana Ranaut, the original team is now aiming at driving a chill down the audience spine with RAAZ 3.
"The thing is that emotional scenarios are completely different between the two films. RAAZ was about marriage and a wife fighting for her husband's life. RAAZ 3 is about fame, jealousy and the politics of Bollywood. Yes, what RAAZ franchise stands for is good music, horror element, human drama and certain amount of sexuality as well. RAAZ 3 does have all of that and more," says Vikram.
CHECK OUT: Mukesh Bhatt elated to bring RAAZ 3 in the 25th year of Vishesh Films
While the filmmaker is promising that there would be chills and thrills galore with RAAZ 3, he doesn't want the film to be compared with the first in the series.
"Of course, just like the earlier installments, RAAZ 3 pushes the envelope as well. However there isn't anything similar from the overall treatment of effect perspective so it would be unfair to compare it with any of the two films," states Vikram.
The film releases all over on 7th September.

'Raaz 3' depressed and drained me: Bipasha Basu
Bipasha Basu says playing a jealous actress past her prime in 'Raaz 3' was emotionally draining as she could not identify with the evil nature of her character
Bipasha says she pushed herself maximum to portray the character of Shinaaya, an actress who resorts to black magic to get her career and lover back in the horror film, which hits the theatres on September 7.
"I did not know how to bring in so much darkness because I am a happy person. I did not have any reference point. But I had to deliver and I think it was the nervous energy that brought me into that zone. It is the maximum I have pushed as an individual to perform. This role has depressed me, drained me and has broken me down," Bipasha told in an interview.
The Bong beauty says she is fascinated by the dark side of human nature and that was one of the reasons that prompted her to return to the franchise a decade later after 2002 Raaz', also her career's first hit.

"All over the world, actors are fascinated by dark roles because the good is very predictable. We all are very normal beings who fear things. I have played such roles and it is fine but a dark character is always more exciting," says Bipasha. The actress, who started her movie career with a grey role in 'Ajnabee', believes that 'Raaz 3' would be one of the darkest roles of her career.
The 33-year-old, whose break-up from John Abraham hogged the limelight until recently, says playing an actress onscreen made her realise how vulnerable actors are in real life.
"This role made me think that how we don't accept the basic fragile emotions that we actors have. We are always supposed to be strong, perfect creatures to others. Everybody envies our lives but there is a lot more fragile about actors."
"You have to be the same human being that everyone else is but you have to put up a front all the time otherwise you are going to be scrutinised, your are going to be poked, wounded and hurt," she says. The actress says working on the film, which harps on the insecurities of the showbiz world, helped her come to term with her personal life too.

"The film brought out the little bit of human in me. I learnt to accept that there are things that are going on in my life that I need to accept. I am not this pillar of strength that I project for people who love me or look up to me. I accepted during the course of this film that it is okay to be fragile and vulnerable."
Asked if she was forced to tap into the insecurities that come with the profession, Bipasha says she is well acquainted with fame and failure.
"As an actor I have gone through real exciting and turbulent times. It is the truth in every actor's life. Nobody is safe. You have to hit the bottom to climb up again. You need to know the flavour of both. But my character's problem is that she adopts really dark means to retain her fame."

Katrina, Anushka bury hatchet
Sources claim that Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma have patched-up their rumoured differences on the sets of YRF's untitled film
While some actresses don't think twice before engaging in catfights, some on the other hand know when to call truce. Our sources say that Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif are currently riding the wave of friendship, as opposed to recent rumours of all being not too well between the two.
A while ago, there were rumours that the two had fallen out over sharing the same make-up man. However, a source on the sets of their latest Yash Chopra film says that the two ladies are getting along like a house on fire. `The rumours about their fight are absolutely rubbish,` states the source.
In the meanwhile, our source also adds that Anushka is making the most of her time alone in Ladakh.
The source adds, `Though most people would be worried about the frequent lack of connectivity on the phone, she is unperturbed and happy to enjoy her time there. Being an army officer's daughter, she sure seems to have inherited a sense of adventure.`

Khiladi 786: Asin goes Marathi for Akki
Asin goes Marathi in her upcoming action comedy with Akshay Kumar and Mithun Chakraborthy
The actress, who is currently shooting for Ashish R Mohan's film, plays the character of a typical Marathi mulgi.
She is pulling out all the stops to essay the character to the hilt in Akshay and Himesh Reshammiya's production. As there is an elaborate wedding sequence, Asin has been seen on the sets in a navvari green kashta sari, mundavalya (bridal jewellery), chandrakor (crescent moon) bindi and nathni (nose ring studded with pearls and beads) and green glass bangles.

Says a unit source, `Though she has played a bride in several of her films, this was a singularly unique experience for her. In her recent flicks Ready and Housefull 2, too, she played a bride but wore the usual lehengas. Dressing up for her Maharashtrian character was something novel for her.`
Adds the source, `Her character of Maya is that of Mithun's sister whose name is quite a mouthful Tatya Tukaram Tendulkar. As it is a comic caper, the typical Marathi lingo has also been incorporated.
Asin being from the South, the Marathi language and customs are alien to her. So she is picking up the nuances of the language from her co-stars who are familiar with the language as well as unit hands.` Perhaps Asin can also take tips from her Ghajini co-star Aamir Khan, who even had a Marathi tutor!

Neha Dhupia KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI's surprise package!
She can be easily called Sanjay Khanduri's lucky mascot. Keeping that in mind, the filmmaker couldn't give her a miss when he thought of making KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI (KLPD). Neha who played the lead actress in his debut film EK CHALLIS KI LAST LOCAL is playing a cameo in his next KLPD.
Since her appearance has been kept as a surprise in the promo, it isn't Neha but her saree-clad figure that puts in a special clad too.
An insider revealed, "In the promo when you see Vivek staring at a woman in the white saree, it is Neha and not Mallika as people may think. Sanjay considers her as a lucky mascot and requested her to do a cameo in the venture. With Neha being appreciated in Sanjay's sleeper hit EK CHALLIS KI LAST LOCAL she more than willingly obliged."
Though Neha hasn't yet seen the promo of KLPD that has been garnering positive response all over she stated that it was a just a friendly appearance.
The movie is produced by Amit Chandrra and is slated to release on 5th October.
